The strength of our squad was confirmed in yesterday’s game where we were able to play a game against one of the top teams and missing 4 players.

Three midfielders covering at the back didn’t seem to weaken the lads that covered their role in the middle. In particular a massive performance from MOM Adrian Dubovencky on his full debut ??. He was partnered with Juan Devia - you must watch this fella play, different level!!

Despite the weather and overnight rain, the pitch was a carpet and suited us. Our ability to move the ball around, the high level of fitness, the press, makes us a very hard team to beat.

Both goals came in the 2nd half. The first another team goal. Frank Naut picks up the ball on the right (video in the comments), little pop to Juan, Juan see you later to 3 players into Antón Fernández Casal , Antón lovely threaded ball to Arka who puts it over the keeper and fair to say game was over there.

The 2nd, 12mins later from Antón was a tap in from an Alvaro shot sealed the game.

Another great and decisive victory which moves us up to 6th (our highest at this level) with games in hand on those above and below for that matter. All stats as a club and players as individuals up and on the increase.

Next week we quite literally have the biggest game the club will be involved in at this point. We travel to Hanworth Villa in the league above us. A win can put us in the 1st round Proper of the FA Vase for only the 2nd time in our history. Hanworth Villa are one of the favourites to win the Premier and won’t be far of it in the Vase.

I know we’re always begging for people to support us but this game needs you. We already have a merry band that follow, join them and help us through.

DGL2 got their season off to a great start after a long preseason schedule with an impressive and big 5-1 win against new team Wembley City FC.

A hat-trick from none other than small dynamo Daniel Alves who also takes the MOM award was joined on the score sheet by Adrian Manez and “I need more Gel” Leandro.

DGL2 took some 30mins to get going but once the nervousness of the league start was bedded in the boys played in DGL fashion with one of the goals following a 7 man move ends up top bins and game over.
